We answer.
What is ubulawu?
Ubulawu is a Zulu word that does not designate a single plant but a family of dream master plants, their characteristic white foam, and the oneiric communication they open. The word comes from the verb ukulawula — to tell the dreams in which one has received instructions from the ancestors. It is the dream pharmacopoeia of the sangoma tradition of southern Africa (Sobiecki).
What are the 5 Master Dream Medicines of the pack?
The Beginner pack contains three plants — Silene capensis (Undlela Ziimlophe, the famous African Dream Root), Mukanya Kude (Vachellia xanthophloea) and Uvuma Omhlope (Synaptolepis kirkii). The Advanced pack adds Ubhubhubhu (Helinus integrifolius) and Uqume, two rarer medicines of the same family. Brewed together, they compose a powerful dream elixir.
What is the difference between Beginner Pack and Advanced Pack?
The Beginner Pack gathers the three pillar plants — the most complete entry way without reaching for the rarer medicines. The Advanced Pack adds two rarer plants (Ubhubhubhu and Uqume) for deep exploration. Many people start with the Beginner, do a cure, write their dreams, then move to the Advanced after a few months of integration.
How do I use the ubulawu pack?
Three ways. Soft chewing — 200 mg of Silene capensis or Uvuma Omhlope 3 to 4 times a day, for 3 to 5 days. Decoction (main method) — about 2 g of one plant (or 1 g of each in mix), simmer 20 to 30 minutes, drink in the morning on an empty stomach, before bedtime, or both, for 3 to 7 days. Traditional foam (Ubulawu Foam) — cold water never warm, 7 h rest, whisk-beating until white foam, then sleep within the hour. Always with intention, prayers, and a journal at the bedside.
How long for ubulawu to take effect?
The experience is cumulative and often delayed. First night — dreams a little sharper. Second-third — clearer recall, sense of narrative coherence. But the deepest dreams often arrive several days AFTER the cure, and effects unfold over the following two to four weeks. This is why INFUSE recommends keeping a journal for at least four weeks after intake.
Is ubulawu safe?
Ubulawu is gentle in the waking state (little perceptible effect) but she is serious psychospiritual work. Contraindicated during pregnancy, breastfeeding, in paediatrics, and in case of serotonergic antidepressants (the β-carbolines recently identified in Silene capensis are active on 5-HT2A receptors, PubMed 2024 study). Saponins can provoke nausea at high dose — this is traditional ritual use, not an effect to seek autonomously. Do your own research (DYOR).
Where does INFUSE's ubulawu come from?
Our ubulawu plants are wild-harvested in South Africa or Zimbabwe by small rural communities, depending on availability. This medicine demands respect — the lineage is alive, source communities depend economically on this chain, and several species are under overharvest pressure. Lot and lab control details are in process of confirmation.
What precautions should I take with ubulawu?
Five points. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, children — avoid. Antidepressants (SSRI, MAOI) and serotonergics — major caution, consult a practitioner. Acute psychiatric conditions — avoid. Mandatory ceremonial posture — this is not a recreational exploration. Keep a journal for at least 4 weeks after intake, and leave at least 2 months between two cures for integration.
