We answer.
What is the difference between Cordyceps militaris and Cordyceps sinensis?
Cordyceps sinensis is the wild species of the Tibetan plateaus, hand-harvested on caterpillars buried in the soil — rare, expensive, and ecologically stressed. Cordyceps militaris is its cultivated cousin, grown in laboratory on rice substrate, with a very close chemical profile and sometimes higher cordycepin. Almost all sinensis sold on the market is in fact militaris: INFUSE names the species transparently.
How do you take Cordyceps 6:1 extract?
A small amount — about 0.25 g to 1 g, a small spoon-tip — dissolved in a hot drink (water, tea, coffee, adaptogenic latte, plant milk). The extract is perfectly soluble. Rather in the morning or before a sustained physical or creative effort. A 30 g jar typically lasts 6 weeks to 3 months depending on frequency.
Does Cordyceps give energy?
Not in the coffee sense. Cordyceps does not push a peak — it supports long breath and endurance. The Tibetan tradition and Chinese Medicine hold it as tonic of the Lung and Kidney meridians, that is to say breath and primordial energy reserve (jing). Rather a second wind that does not deplete than a quick boost.
Is Cordyceps a mushroom or a plant?
A mushroom — fungal kingdom. Its biology is singular: wild Cordyceps slowly takes the place of a ghost moth caterpillar buried in the soil of the high plateaus, then in spring grows a thin golden stem out of the animal's body. Hence its Tibetan name Yartsa Gunbu, 'summer grass, winter worm.'
Why the Miron glass jar for Cordyceps?
Miron glass (Deep Purple Glass) blocks the visible light spectrum and lets only violet, UV and infrared rays through — preserving the structure of active compounds and the vitality of the extract over time. An inheritance of Egyptian alchemists used for sensitive extracts.
Is Cordyceps compatible with other mushrooms?
Yes — it is even the base of the Mushroom Stack INFUSE (Cordyceps, Reishi, Lion's Mane, Chaga). Cordyceps brings breath, Reishi peace, Lion's Mane cognitive clarity, Chaga grounding and protection. Four fungal intelligences in synergy.
What precautions with Cordyceps?
Start with small doses. Caution with autoimmune conditions (Cordyceps modulates immunity) and anticoagulant medication. Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding without professional advice. Not a medication and does not replace any treatment.
Is Cordyceps legal in the UK / EU?
Yes, cultivated Cordyceps militaris is freely available across the UK and the European Union as a food supplement based on adaptogenic mushroom.
