I really manage to reduce my cigarette consumption at times with this Magic Herb. Strangely I find that it has a slight calming effect without it being indicated for that .. Excellent substitute for clope, a treat to smoke. My favorite tobacco substitute, really. I roll the size of a huge firecracker. Shop super nice and serious again .thank you

A tobacco-free smoking blend is a mix of finely cut dried plants (marsh mallow, raspberry, clover, sweet clover, peppermint, calendula for INFUSE's Herbal Mix), intended to be rolled and smoked, on its own or mixed with tobacco. It contains no nicotine and no additive; the effect is very subtle, just a thread of serenity.

Does Herbal Mix contain nicotine?

No. Herbal Mix is a 100 % plant blend: marsh mallow, raspberry leaves, red clover, sweet clover, peppermint, calendula flowers. Mixed with tobacco, the smoke of course carries the tobacco's nicotine.

How do I dose Herbal Mix with tobacco?

To your taste. Start half and half to get to know the taste, then raise the share of herbs at your own pace: 30/70, then pure if that speaks to you. Its flavour is soft and flowery, with the honey of sweet clover and the freshness of peppermint.

Can Herbal Mix be drunk as a tea?

Yes. For non-smokers, 1 tablespoon of Herbal Mix in steaming water, steep 5 to 10 minutes, drink at end of day. Flavour is soft and floral — soothing marsh mallow, honeyed sweet clover, fresh peppermint.

What effects do you feel when smoking Herbal Mix?

The effect is very subtle. A thread of calm, a soft texture in the mouth (cottony marsh mallow, vanillic sweet clover), a freshness (peppermint).

Can Herbal Mix be smoked during pregnancy?

Tradition

The Herbal Mix belongs to the European herbalist tradition of using gentle plants in a smoking blend or as a tea. Marsh Mallow, Sweet Clover, Red Clover and Calendula are attested in the medieval and modern pharmacopoeias — Hildegard of Bingen, Mattioli, Sebastian Kneipp — as plants of the common people: accessible, gentle, useful, present in the physic gardens and the monastic pharmacopoeias.

Raspberry completes the base with its cottony texture and its satisfying smoked body; Sweet Clover brings its vanilla notes (natural coumarin, a honeyed scent); Peppermint its freshness and its opening in the mouth; Calendula its solar colour and its floral base.

The blend is composed in the Netherlands, in the living tradition of the herbalist gardens of the Dutch plains and of the surrounding European cultures — a country where smoking plants have held on as an honest popular practice, with no great promises, just a knowledge passed from hand to hand.

Preparation

50 g pouch: to discover it, to customise in small quantity.
100 g pouch: for those who roll it every day.

You can use the Herbal Mix in two ways:

To roll / to smoke. Pure, or mixed with your usual tobacco: 50/50, 30/70 (30 % tobacco, 70 % herbs), or 100 % Herbal Mix. Let your taste set the dose: start half and half to get to know the flowery flavour, then adjust.

As a tea. 1 tablespoon for a cup of simmering water, infused 5 to 10 minutes, to be drunk at the end of the day for its flowery softness.

To customise your own blend, the Herbal Mix serves as a smooth base to which you add according to the intention:

Complementary smooth bases: Mullein, Damiana, Mugwort, Rose petals, Mexican Tarragon (Yauhtli)
Asian variant: Indianmix RYO (an Ayurvedic blend, to compare the sensory profiles)
Signature herbs to add by the pinch: Calea Zacatechichi, Blue Lotus, Poppy petals, Pink Lotus stamens, Wild Dagga

Suggested ritual

Taste first. Start half and half (tobacco + Herbal Mix) to get to know the taste, then raise the share of herbs at your own pace: 30/70, then pure if that speaks to you. The gesture of rolling stays the same.

The home mix on the table. Herbal Mix as a base, to be enriched according to the intention of the evening: a pinch of Damiana for the warmth, a little Mugwort for the dreams, a few petals of Pink Lotus or Wild Poppy for contemplation. Roll by hand, without haste. It is a practice of the leaf older than the industrial cigarette — a breath of herbs that have intentions, a conscious pause, an attention to the breathing.

The cup at the end of the day. For non-smokers or as a complement: an infusion of Herbal Mix in simmering water, 5 to 10 minutes. Drink slowly. Let the gesture become a ritual.
