This root is powerful and incredible. It's very helpful with empowering dream cohesion. I aim to take it in the morning as soon as possible as a tea. I use a mortar and pestle and grind it by hand as much as I can, then I pour it into something to help me then scoop and pour it into an empty teabag. It's usually around 11 days when you'll see results I've noticed, as I like to share my enthusiasm with herbs with my family and celebrate their progress and spiritual achievements. (It's great with filtered water and raw organic honey too actually.)

I was a little worried because there wasn't tracking and it got delayed. However, it was coming from overseas and had to go through customs. I actually haven't had a chance to properly try this one out because I have been loving one of the extras that came with it. I have tasted it in foam form and it tastes a lot better than the one I have been obsessed with, but have yet to test it's full effects when used properly. The one I tried was the Mexican dream herb and it actually gives me incredibly normal dreams. My family contemplated that it might be because I have such wild dreams that the reverse effect happens to me. Why I love it so much is I toss and turn all night usually, waking up about 30 times. With the Mexican dream herb I sleep through the night and have SO MUCH energy the next day.

This was my first contact with the roots,there were different sizes of the roots to my surprise and since the seller was very communicative,I was told the price range for bigger roots was different from what I paid.However when embarking on a journey with a new teacher,attitudes are tested so trusting that I was on the right path came as I connected with the roots. Having African heritage for me the connection was both metaphorical as well as literal so I chose to soak the roots for 6-8 hours in luke warm water ,drinking the water then chewing the roots.While I didn't have lucid dreams ,I understand everyone's path/pace is different and for me facing certain subconscious blocks was a direct result of the roots....Going deeper into introspection during waking hours rather than during my sleep...for now.

This is tricky because everything is subjected but heres what happened. I drank the tea for a few days and had a dreams that were useful. My significant other drank it and I very clearly can provide security footage and text, the man is a narcissist. That tea will bring out the Angels and Demons, the one you feed most is the one you cant hide. For me I started building animal houses because winter is coming. For him, he got physiologically abusive, gas lightning, cynical and he couldn't hide it. I'm going to order more and give it to everyone close to me. Lets see who we all really are.

What is Silene capensis (African dream root)?
Silene capensis (synonym Silene undulata) is a small perennial plant of the Caryophyllaceae family, native to the Eastern Cape in South Africa. Her root is used since a long time by the Xhosa and Zulu diviner-healers of southern Africa to densify and clarify the dream. She is also called African dream root.

### Botanik
Silene undulata Aiton — Synonym Silene capensis, immer noch der im Handel verbreitetste Name — ist eine kleine mehrjährige Pflanze aus der Familie der Caryophyllaceae, jener der Nelken und Leimkräuter. ### Phytochemie (deskriptiv)
Die Wurzel ist reich an triterpenoiden Saponinen. Sie sind es, die, im kalten Wasser geschlagen, den charakteristischen weißen Schaum erzeugen — die Hitze baut sie ab, daher die alte Regel des kalten Wassers. März 2024 veröffentlichte das Journal of Ethnopharmacology die erste ernsthafte chemische Charakterisierung der Pflanze (Potential Serotonin 5-HT2A Receptor Agonist of Psychoactive Components of Silene undulata, PMID 38561607). Durch LC-MS/MS-Analyse und molekulares Docking identifizierte das Team β-Carboline in der Wurzel, vorhergesagt als Agonisten des serotonergen Rezeptors 5-HT2A. Das ist das zentrale Ziel der klassischen Psychedelika (LSD, Psilocin, DMT, Meskalin), und die β-Carboline sind auch in der Ayahuasca bekannt. Dieses Ergebnis ist mit Vorsicht zu lesen: Es handelt sich um eine in-silico-Bindungsvorhersage und eine analytische Identifikation, nicht um eine klinische Studie. In traditioneller Dosierung bleibt die Konzentration unterhalb des Grenzwerts wacher Visionen; was Studien und Gebrauch berichten, ist eine Wirkung auf Inhalt und Klarheit des Traums, nicht auf den Wachzustand. Keine therapeutische Wirksamkeit wird hier behauptet.
### Linie und Tradition
Silene capensis gehört zu einer Familie südafrikanischer Traumwurzeln, die der Ethnobotaniker Jean-François Sobiecki inventarisiert und dokumentiert hat (Veröffentlichungen 2002, 2008, 2012). Seinen Arbeiten zufolge bildet dieser Korpus von Schaumpflanzen einen der großen Komplexe der Traumdivination weltweit — vergleichbar an Reichtum mit der amazonischen Ayahuasca oder dem nordamerikanischen Peyote, aber außerhalb Südafrikas weitgehend unbekannt geblieben.
Bei den Xhosa und Zulu der Eastern Cape und von KwaZulu-Natal setzen die Wahrsager-Heilerinnen und -Heiler — oft Frauen, die Weitergabe erfolgt häufig von Mutter zu Tochter — die Wurzel im Rahmen langer ritueller Ausbildungen ein: Rückzug, Diät, Gebete, Einnahme am frühen Morgen, Erzählen der Träume beim Erwachen. Die empfangenen Träume gelten dort als Weg der Ahnenkommunikation und können als prophetisch gelesen werden. Sobiecki unterscheidet in diesen Traditionen zudem Pflanzen, die Halluzinationen hervorrufen, von jenen, die das Träumen auslösen: Silene undulata wird zu den letzteren gezählt, denen man die Fähigkeit zuschreibt, „echte Visionen“ zu erzeugen, die die normalerweise dem Schlaf vorbehaltene Intuition wecken.
Sobiecki besteht in seiner ethischen Prüfung von 2008 auf einem Punkt, den die INFUSE-Haltung übernimmt: Diese Pflanzen gehören zu einer lebendigen Linie, nicht zu einem offenen Erbe. Ihr Gebrauch außerhalb der Herkunftsgemeinschaft hat nur Sinn im Respekt dieser Linie, der Unterstützung der Herkunftsregionen und der Demut vor einem Wissen, das uns nicht gehört.

### Sicherheit

Aufgrund der an der Serotonin-Rezeption aktiven β-Carboline ist Vorsicht geboten bei Antidepressiva (SSRI, MAOI), Triptanen und Lithium: ärztlicher Rat ist unerlässlich. Zu meiden während Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit (mögliche uterotonische Wirkungen, fehlende Daten), bei Kindern und bei akuten psychiatrischen Erkrankungen (Psychose, bipolare Störung).
