Timoté Frin.

Founder of INFUSE — Animist herbalist house.

— Who I am —

I created INFUSE in 2024 after more than ten years of personal practice with plants — first the European ones (Mugwort, Mandrake, Hyoscyamus, Tilia), then the lineages of Amazonia, South Africa, Mexico and India. I do not come from a herbalist school. I come from the forests, the ceremonies, the kitchens where plants are prepared in the presence of those who have held them for generations.

INFUSE is an animist herbalist house. Not a wellness brand, not a smart shop, not a dispensary of molecules. A house that restores to plants their status as persons — beings with whom one enters into relation, with lineage, memory, territory — rather than interchangeable raw materials. It is an ethical counter-narrative to the industrial market of medicinal and psychoactive plants.

I am based in Bali, and I regularly travel to sourcing territories: Peruvian Amazonia (Shipibo-Conibo), South African Eastern Cape (Xhosa, Khoisan), Oaxaca (Mazatec), Kerala and Tamil Nadu (Ayurvedic vaidya). I also co-develop Dream App, a social dream application in the lineage of Robert Moss (Active Dreaming) and Seth (Global Dream Network).

— Expertise & lineages —

What I lean on.

Field practice

10+ years of personal practice with plants-as-persons. European plants (Artemisia, Mandragora, Hyoscyamus, Tilia, Damiana), Amazonian (Bobinsana, ayahuasca lineages), South African (Silene capensis, Imphepho, Wild Dagga), Mesoamerican (Calea zacatechichi, Salvia divinorum).

Direct sourcing

Documented field visits to living lineages: Shipibo-Conibo vegetalistas (Peruvian Amazonia), Xhosa sangoma and Khoisan herbalists (South Africa), Mazatec curanderos (Oaxaca), Ayurvedic vaidya (Kerala). Each INFUSE plant has a traceable lineage.

Epistemic forest

INFUSE leans on a digested library of 400+ books covering ethnobotany, anthropology, phytochemistry, living traditions, animism, philosophy of care. Every Forest article is sourced and cross-checked against this library.

Explicit refusals

INFUSE refuses certain plants for clear ethical reasons: Iboga, Peyote, Datura, Mandrake in commercial use. See the Plants we don't sell section of the lexicon — it is a central part of the House, not a footnote.

— INFUSE Mission —

INFUSE exists to offer a way of using plants-as-persons that respects their lineage, their sourcing, and their dignity. Not a wellness brand. An animist herbalist house.
